Greg Mauer is Facebook’s new director of public policy, according to LinkedIn. He was formerly the vice president of corporate public affairs at UPS. Facebook’s LinkedIn feed also noted several hires in user operations and other related departments.

Facebook hired a manager of privacy and public policy this week: Rob Sherman, a former attorney who represented the company while at his previous firm. According to its Careers page and LinkedIn feed, the company also appears to have hired communications, data center, marketing and account management staff.
