Facebook is testing a games-only activity feed that groups all friends’ game stories in one place. The social network is also considering scrapping the games-only ticker that appears along side canvas apps

Facebook tests photo viewer designs
Facebook is testing a new way to display photos that puts captions and comments to the right of the image rather than below. The new format takes advantage of horizontal space so that photos can be presented larger and the information and conversation are still visible, instead of forcing users to scroll down to see comments as they do currently. The team at Facebook also appears to be talking to professional photographers for feedback, according to public status updates and comments from employees

Page tools dominate on this week’s top 20 growing Facebook apps by MAU
Page tab applications dominated our list of apps that grew by monthly active users this week, which is to say most of the apps on our list grew because of page admins. Facebook has begun to promote page creation in the upper right-hand corner every time users visit a page. The titles on our list gained the most MAU of any apps on the platform, growing from between 900,000 and 13.7 million MAU, based on AppData , our data tracking service covering traffic growth for apps on Facebook.

Facebook is in the final stages of preparing a filing for a much anticipated public offering, sources familiar with matter tell us. The Wall Street Journal reports that such a filing could come as early as Wednesday and says that Morgan Stanley will take the prestigious role as lead underwriter with Goldman following. Santorum makes gains following debate this week on Inside Facebook’s Election Tracker
Some pundits expect Rick Santorum to drop out of the race after the Florida primary, but his Facebook page has gotten a burst of new Likes since Thursday’s debate, according to our Inside Facebook Election Tracker . There is still time for things to change before Florida voters go to the polls on Tuesday, but in the past, we’ve seen correlation between Facebook growth and election performance. Newt Gingrich’s page was on the rise leading up to the South Carolina primary and had a large spike the day after he won there. His growth has since leveled off, but remains higher than it had been two weeks ago.
